Internet Regulations Task

What are the issues surroundung the Internet?

When you are able to access any website without restriction. Any forms of plagerism can happen and go unnoticed therefore dispite the consequences plagerism still and will always exist. When certain websites are made for tthe public such as Wikipedia- you are able to edit the information as you please and possibly convert the different information into possibly offensive language and which people decide not to use Wikipedia as it ha such wide range of consumers that rely on that website to produce them with accurate information. Which is why using the internet and allowing traditional consumers to become producers should be restricted to a certain point because anything placed on one of the major popular sites i.e. Bebo. Should they allow complete freedom to broadcast or advertise music which is offensive and disturbing to music fans in general? Should users be allow to post up any picture they want with could symbolize racism?

The problems in which in these circumstances could occur is that if a major amount of people are contributing to such terrible and encouraging behaviour the internet sites themselves could find that in order to salvage their reputaion they may have to close down their site temporarily and from then onwards it could have a detrimental effect and may lose their loyal consumers and therefore their brand will become damaged.

The way in which regulation should be monitored is to have sensors of in appropriate words or when posting up a picture of post to someone it during the process of waiting will the content actually sends during that time the content could be sent to the site hierachy and can be checked whether it is appropriate or not and restrict people from offending people and using their site as a way in which it is allowed to offend peolple.
