Saving Faith

.....Voted best horror thriller trailer at the 2008 Media Awards....

x.. Costumes..x

The costumes within the trailer have more of a street theme to it which connotes the target audience of the trailer and the trailer also had one of the actors wearing a suit to possibly show what characters they are and to add some sort of gangster act to the trailer. Films like these have suits whilst committing crimes e.g. Godfather. The hoodies connote the area the movie is likely to be located and represents the youth culture which will be appealing to their audience.

x..Sound..x

The sound in the trailer was slow and began to build showing how much tension there was in the film and shows the dramatic scenes within the film. The sound was relevant in terms of audience because the sound will allow the audience to relate to sound and they become more aware of the film and become more interested.

x..Camera...x

The camera angles in the trailer had a range of shots e.g. medium shots and close ups were used on various occasions to show the facial expressions of the actors to create a more effect to the film. Mise en scenes were used to show all events taking place is the trailer to get an outline on whats going on in the trailer. The use of camera movement was good because they focused on different areas of location and the actors body language throughout.

x..Props..x

The props used were guns. By using guns in a film it creates an impression on the audience and attract audiences who are involved in gun crime or are victims or working /living in a gun vulnerable area allowing more people to watch the trailer.

x..Lighting..x

The lighting used was dark in some areas of the film to connote evil and dangerous things. The part where the fire burning and the part where the actor was standing outside his house showed the dramatic scenes the film was going to have. The dark lighting showed the dramatic scenes taking place.
